Oh Thank God

It's so awkward taking my son to the park, sometimes.

Or daycare.

Or relatives' houses.

Luckily, I now have the perfect accessory: Mommy business cards. Thanks, Jenny!

Too many bats in the belfry

Haven't posted lately because I can't get my mind to settle down to one thing. Here's what I've been thinking of lately:

Are American women as a whole better or worse off now that we are largely in the paid workforce (and thus have independent means) but have no domestic help?
What kind of "success" do I really want for my son, and is my parenting leading him in that direction?
Is it better to go off my meds and be angry but care about things again, or to stay on them and be less angry but more apathetic about my career/life/health etc.?

Like chocolate and peanut butter

Surreality, anyone?

Since we've already got Sarah Palin crying "blood libel" and thinking that SHE'S the real victim of the Arizona shooting, I thought some more absurdity was appropriate. Enjoy.

Kiss my grits, 2010!

You know, Bad Cohen and I got married in 2001. We hoped for a monolith. Or at least a giant space baby. Bupkis.

But now, finally, it's 2011, and the future is here! Jet packs! Robot maids! Flying cars!

No, really...

Jet packs

Robot maids

Flying cars

One more year before APOCALYPSE

Me, I plan on eating plenty of chocolate, enjoying my son (when I'm not yelling at him), and working on plans for my floating ark.

So, what are you going to do in the last year before the Mayan calendar reboots itself?
