Workplace Grinch Hero

Given that she says stuff like "don't report sexual harrassment at work; it's bad for your career," I'm surprised that P. Trunk's (2006) post on not doing Christmas at work is considered controversial. But I love it. The kind of honest perspective that can come from someone with Asperger's:

Christmas at the office is bad for diversity

That was a good article. When I first came to work at my present job (at a university), I only got Dec 24 and 25th off, and that wasn't too bad. Now they have stretched to the entire week from Dec 24th until after January first. This is a horrible time to be off, and would be a wonderful time to be at work because I could get so much done in that week because there are no students. But...they decided it was cheaper to shut down.
